Harvest Village Scholarship

Supporting Horticulture students in their research

As part of our community support program, Harvest Village is awarding a $2,000 academic scholarship to an undergraduate or masters student to advance their studies in the fields of Horticulture. The Harvest Village Scholarship will be awarded to the applicant, selected by our expert panel, who has been judged to have submitted the most outstanding response to our selection criteria theme: Home gardening products for Australian Gardeners.

How to apply

Harvest Village is passionate about seeing more ordinary Australian's grow thier own fruit and veg. As part of our mission, we want to produce innovatite gardening tools and products that make the gardening process easy and accessable to all levels of gardening.

To apply for the $2,000 Harvest Village Scholarship, please submit your submission to the question below by emailing ali@harvestvillage.com.au. The submission can be in any form, Word Document or Powerpoint Presentation, the format isnt important, the substance of your proposal is what we will evaluate.

Scholarship Details

The Harvest Village Scholarship is open to applications from university students who are currently enrolled in and completed 1 year of study in a Horticulture course at an accredited Australian university.

The award is open to both part-time and full-time students, undergraduate and post-graduate students who meet the selection criteria.

Award: $2,000 to support the winner’s academic expenses.

  • Applications will be assessed and judged by an expert panel as appointed by Harvest Village Australia.
  • Applicants must submit a proposal on the question: What innovative Gardening Tool or Product could make gardening more accessible for the average Australian Gardener.
  • Applications must be received by midnight Australian time, on 18 July 2023
  • Winner will be decided by 31 July 2023 and advised by phone and email.
  • No correspondence will be entered into post-award.
  • The award will be deposited into the awardee’s bank account.

 

Terms and Conditions

  • The Harvest Village Scholarship is a private initiative by Harvest Village
  • It is not associated with, or has been approved by, any university.
  • The winner is judged purely on merit and the total discretion of the judging panel as appointed by Harvest Village.
  • No correspondence will be entered into.
  • Announcements regarding the winner, including the winner’s identity, will be made after discussions with and the consent of the winner.
  • All applications are treated with confidentiality and privacy.
